Hello everybody! This is Teacher Tim, reporting from San Diego, California! I’m at a hotel called the Town and Country Resort, where I am attending the Children’s Pastors Conference. Dyzzee is here too. It’s going to be a great week.
It’s hard to believe, but even teachers go to school sometimes. That’s what this trip is about. I get to attend classes and go to big meetings to learn how to help boys and girls know more about Jesus and the Bible. There are teachers and pastors just like me from all over the country that are here for the same reason. It may be school, but it’s a lot of fun too. We get to laugh and sing and eat together. There’s a big room that has a lot of videos and books and other things that can help us be better teachers. I’ll be showing you more things as the week goes on.
Dyzzee and I had a very long trip. Because of some bad weather, a lot of planes didn’t get to leave on time. Since dinosaurs aren’t allowed to sit on the plane, Dyzzee curled up in his space where the other bags were and decided to take a nap.
When we got to our room, I carefully took Dyzzee out and gently put him on the bed so I wouldn’t wake him. But I no sooner brushed my teeth when he suddenly woke up. He looked around and found himself on a nice, BIG bed. Uh oh! If there is one thing Dyzzee likes to do, it’s to jump on nice, BIG beds.
Boing….boing….boing…boing.
I reached out and grabbed Dyzzee in mid-air, but he wriggled away and….
Boing….boing….boing………………BLONK!
That silly purple dinosaur landed right on his head! I’m sure glad he was still on the bed, otherwise, he could have gotten hurt. We talked about listening and being safe. Dyzzee promised to be more careful next time. I tucked him in and turned out the lights. We were ready for a good night’s sleep.
I’d love to hear from all of you, so make sure you have your parents help you leave a comment. Have a great week and keep reading for more of our adventures!
